So close you can smell it... - 14.02.12

Painters are in the building, and the subtle wafts of fumes are keeping the staff company as we 'move into' our new building.  Our office and administration is now back to a functional pace, but there is still a stack of stuff to do!  Many boxes are still to be opened and explored, rooms need to be cleaned out, fittings completed and decorations placed.

Today we held our first staff meeting in one of the upstairs meeting rooms (see picture below). 

Keep praying for the progress of this building project.  We are so close now with the major construction work already completed.  In a few months time we will be celebrating and worshiping Jesus in this place!

It's all happening! - 28.11.11

A month in and so much has happened.  Stairs have been moved, slabs filled in, walls framed up… and a whole lot of drilling!

Continue to pray that the building works continue on schedule and that we can minimise the number of little variations that creep into a project of this size (impacting the overall cost). 

We're excited that in 2012 we will be moving into our new church home.  Stay tuned for more updates soon!

Construction begins - 31.10.11

On Monday 31st October, 2011, formal construction work will begin on our new church building at 89 Blaxland Road, Ryde.  There are a myriad of different things that will be done in this phase of construction to get the building ready to hold services, kids church, and our office administration.  For starters, there are columns to be moved, stairs to build, and around 1700 holes to be drilled through concrete slabs!

Prayer Points

• Pray for a smooth transition for all the administration activities as the office moves off-site for the next 8 weeks
• Pray for all the builders and workers on site - for their safety and a high-quality, on time result
• Pray for the project management - that details and all costs are covered properly

No Access

For a period of time (next 8-12 weeks) there will be no access to the building at 89 Blaxland Road (including the car park).  This is a legal requirement of us as part of our building contract.  The construction zone will be unsafe for any individual, other than approved workers, to be present onsite.  All mid-week meetings will be held at our Ministry Centre (Level 1, 142 Cox's Road North Ryde) and our Sunday Services will continue to run at the North Ryde Community Centre (201 Cox's Road North Ryde).
